Hi I'm MJ

I started my career in Communications and Marketing.  In 2012, I collaborated and co-designed a small capsule collection of menswear that was presented in London during the 2012 Olympics, where celebrities, artists and fashion personalities were all present. This experience made me leave my 8-year career in corporate communications to pursue studies in fashion design in France. In 2015, I graduated from the prestigious École Supérieure de Mode et du Design in Paris where I majored in corsetry with a minor in leather work and textile creation. While in Paris, I worked behind the scenes for designers such as Vera Wang, John Galliano, and Alexis Mabille. 

Upon my return to Montreal, I took on the  role of Head Designer for an iconic American fashion brand. My European influence allows me to experience fashion as an art form and focus more on the creative process rather than the product. This has yielded me immense commercial success in the industry. My work has been showcased internationally in London, Paris and California.

Through various freelance projects, I have amassed skills across many roles - including senior-level design, creative direction, trend research, mass production, factory & textile sourcing, brand development and more. I work with each client to develop custom approaches that will maximize success within their unique business model. I’m constantly developing new skills, knowledge and products to keep up with the rapid changes across the industry. No project is too big or too small.
